Athlete Safety & Impact Analysis

Our device is designed to monitor & analyze impacts to help manage & prevent concussions in athletes

The device uses an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) embedded in the mouthpiece to capture data. This IMU measures the magnitude of accelerations during impacts and sums them over a specified time window. If the sum exceeds a predefined threshold (like 2Z), an alert is triggered.


Data Transmission: The device transmits the captured data to a nearby Wi-Fi hub, which then forwards it to our cloud platform using cellular connectivity. This ensures the data is quickly and securely sent for analysis.


Data Analysis: Our cloud platform analyzes the data to identify patterns, trends, and potential concussions. If a concussion is detected, alerts are sent to the user or healthcare provider, enabling timely intervention.

  • Advanced Filtering and Zeroing Mechanisms: These ensure accurate and timely alerts.
  • Summation and Cumulative Analysis: The device uses algorithms to detect significant events by comparing extracted features against predefined thresholds. Multiple impacts are summed to assess cumulative effects, which are crucial for detecting potential concussions.
  • Alert Generation: Alerts are generated if the cumulative impact exceeds safety thresholds and transmitted to the base station.
  • Visualization and Reporting: The data is visualized and reported through software applications, providing insights into impact patterns and potential risks.

  • Early Detection: By monitoring and identifying significant impacts, the device provides early detection of potential concussions, allowing for timely intervention.

  • Preventive Measures: The cumulative analysis of impacts helps in recognizing patterns that might indicate a higher risk of injury, prompting preventive measures to be taken.
  • Real-Time Alerts: The immediate generation and transmission of alerts ensure that any significant impact is addressed promptly, reducing the risk of further injury.
